Watching a movie is not an entertainment and it is not a business either. Movies are proclaiming an ideology, expressing culture, catalyzing the vision and empowering of thoughts. It’s a great tool to feed a message to the mass. We live in a global village, hence the big screens connect us with other countries instantly.

The Department of Visual Communication, KG College of Arts and Science, Saravanampatti, is proud to announce that we are organizing the Iranian Film festival during 27th, 28th & 29th of September 2022 on campus in association with Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, Chennai and The Cultural House of Islamic Republic of Iran Mumbai.

During this film festival the following six films from Iran by extremely appraised directors will be screened.

1. Born in 1987 (2016)
2. Track 143 (2014)
3. Hush, Girls don’t scream ( 2013)
4. The painting pool (2013) 
5. The song of sparrows (2008) 
6. M for mother (2006).

This film festival wouldn’t end up in screening cinemas but also in enlightening the participant with the meaningful discussion. Mr. E. Thangaraj, Secretary, ICAF, Chennai, will be the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Ceremony. And Mr.Maniraj, Art Director, Mr. Prabhakaran, Art Director and Mr.Vijipaul, Film critique & Illustrator, Pune, will take the stage for every discussion.  This festival brings various enthusiasts of International films, Film critiques, Media Students in and around Coimbatore to a single space.
