CHATURANGA – The Chess Tournament Rotaract Club of Coimbatore
To mark the Work, Interact Week 2022, the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Majestic coordinated with the Interact Club of Shri Nehru Vidyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School and conducted an “Intraschool Chess Tournament – Chaturanga” at Shri Nehru Vidyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore on 5th November 2022.
The tournament commenced at 09:00 a.m. The students showcased their talent in various nail-biting preliminary and final rounds. The ending aside, this tournament was a triumph for students’ spirit. The valedictory of Chaturanga commenced at 02:30 p.m.
Every participant has been recognised with a participation certificate and seed balls to symbolise the importance of planting trees. The winners and runners were awarded trophies and chess boards by the School Principal – Shrimati G Pankaj, Rtr. Sethupathi – President – Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Majestic and Rtr. PP. Arthi – Group Rotaract Secretary | Group 4 | Rotary International District 3201.
Saplings were planted on the school premises to mark the event conducted during World Interact Week 2022.
WORLD INTERACT WEEK 2022
The Valedictory Ceremony of the “World Interact Week 2022” was organised by the Interact District Organization 3201 on 5th November 2022 at National Model Matric Higher Secondary School. Staff coordinators, Rotaractors, and Interactors took part in the ceremony. In the Valedictory, the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Majestic has been awarded as one of the Best Rotaract Clubs for coordinating and conducting events with an Interact Club during World Interact Week 2022.
