The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has announced the formation of a high-powered advisory panel for the upcoming Waves Summit, scheduled to take place in May. The panel comprises a stellar lineup of eminent personalities from across the media, entertainment, digital, and broadcasting industries — signaling the government’s intent to foster deeper collaboration with industry stakeholders.

The Waves Summit 2025, aimed at discussing the future of content creation, regulation, digital innovation, and global positioning of Indian media, is expected to serve as a major platform for dialogue and policy shaping. The advisory panel will play a critical role in shaping the summit’s themes, selecting speakers, and aligning discussions with current industry needs and global trends.

The Waves Summit will be a convergence of ideas, innovation, and industry insights. By bringing together the most influential voices in media, we are setting the stage for meaningful, future-focused conversations,” said a senior MIB official.

The advisory panel includes CEOs of leading media houses, heads of digital content platforms, renowned filmmakers, broadcasters, advertising veterans, and senior journalists. Their collective expertise is expected to steer the summit toward impactful and actionable outcomes.

Industry insiders believe this is a landmark move, as it bridges the gap between policymaking and on-ground media operations. The panel will also provide critical inputs on regulatory challenges, monetization strategies, audience engagement, and content responsibility in the digital age.

Sources within the MIB reveal that the summit will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, masterclasses, and exclusive showcases of new-age content and technologies. Discussions are expected to span across OTT regulations, ethical journalism, AI in media, rural content reach, and India’s roadmap as a global content hub.

Registrations for the summit are expected to open soon, and a detailed agenda along with venue information will be released in the coming weeks.-AirMedia Broadcast
