Crowning its journey with yet another achievement" - APS Udhampur Scripts a Double Triumph in U-19 Inter-APSs Chess Championship 2026-27🏆♟️

19 September 2026 : The U-19 Northern Command Inter-APSs (Cluster-A) Chess Competition, hosted by APS Nagrota on 19 September 2026, brought together promising young chess players from six Army Public Schools of Cluster A. The competition offered an inspiring platform for students to demonstrate their strategic acumen, concentration, patience, discipline and sporting spirit. As the event progressed to its decisive final rounds, the excitement intensified. APS Udhampur faced APS Rakhmuthi in the Boys’ Final, while the Girls’ Final saw a keen contest between APS Udhampur and APS Akhnoor.

Rising to the occasion with exceptional focus, confidence, teamwork and determination, the chess teams of APS Udhampur delivered a stellar performance and emerged victorious in both the Boys’ and Girls’ sections.

The victorious teams secured an impressive 9 points each, marking a remarkable double triumph for APS Udhampur.

The school Principal, Dr Jyoti Bedyal has heartily congratulated the chess winners and proudly stated that this accomplishment has brought immense pride and distinction to the school.
