The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education extended the last date for online registration for Yuva Sangam Phase VII till August 31, 2026. The extension would provide an additional opportunity to eligible youth from across the country to register and participate in this unique youth exchange programme.

Interested youth aged 18 to 30 years, including students of Higher Education Institutions, NSS/NYKS volunteers and young professionals, can register through the official Yuva Sangam portal at https://ebsb.aicte-india.org. The last date to register for Yuva Sangam Phase VII was August 18, 2026 earlier. For Yuva Sangam Phase VII, 20 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), including IITs, IIMs, Central Universities and NITs, have been identified as nodal institutions to host and facilitate the exchange programme. Selected participants will undertake five to seven day educational and cultural tours (excluding travel days) to their paired States/UTs. During these visits, participants will gain first hand exposure to local traditions, educational institutions, governance initiatives, innovation ecosystems, industries, heritage sites and community life. Yuva Sangam is a flagship youth exchange programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative, aimed at strengthening emotional bonds and fostering mutual understanding among young citizens from different States and Union Territories. The initiative promotes the spirit of "Unity in Diversity" by facilitating structured exposure visits between paired States and Union Territories, enabling participants to experience India's rich cultural, linguistic, educational and developmental diversity.

The programme is structured around five thematic pillars, or 5 Ps — Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions & Culture), Pragati (Development & Governance), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology & Innovation). Through these thematic engagements, participants develop a deeper appreciation of India's diversity while fostering mutual understanding and national unity, in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
