CMS Community Radio Organises Awareness Programme on Vector-Borne Diseases at CMS Gomti Nagar -I

Lucknow, August 25, 2026: CMS Community Radio 90.4 MHz, ‘Mera Radio Meri Awaaz’, organised a comprehensive awareness programme on Vector-Borne Diseases at City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I, today. The programme was conducted during the morning prayer assembly with the objective of creating awareness among students about mosquito-borne diseases, their prevention and the health services available for their treatment.

The key speaker, District Malaria Officer Dr. Ritu Srivastava, delivered an informative and engaging presentation on various vector-borne diseases. She explained their causes, modes of transmission, symptoms and preventive measures in a simple and student-friendly manner. She particularly highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness, preventing water stagnation and eliminating mosquito breeding sites.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and asking several questions. Dr. Ritu Srivastava responded to their queries and encouraged the students to become health-awareness ambassadors by sharing the information with their families and communities. A special attraction of the programme was an awareness skit presented by the students, highlighting mosquito-borne diseases, preventive measures and the importance of timely medical attention. The skit also informed the students about the free healthcare facilities available through government health departments and government hospitals. The students’ presentation conveyed the message of prevention and awareness in an engaging and impactful manner. Shiksha Ma’am, who helped the students prepare the skit, was also present during the programme.

Mr. Ravindra Tripathi, Head of CMS Community Radio, welcomed the guests and participants and expressed his gratitude to the District Malaria Office, Dr. Ritu Srivastava, the school administration, teachers and students for their active participation and support in making the programme successful. The Principal and Vice Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, along with teachers and other members of the school community, were also present on the occasion.

At the conclusion of the programme, informative pamphlets were distributed among the students by the District Malaria Office. The pamphlets contained useful information about vector-borne diseases, preventive measures and available health services, further reinforcing the key messages shared during the session. The awareness programme, organised under the aegis of CMS Community Radio 90.4 MHz – ‘Mera Radio Meri Awaaz’, proved to be an informative and meaningful initiative towards empowering young students with knowledge about vector-borne diseases and encouraging them to contribute to a healthier and more aware community.

लखनऊ, 25 अगस्त 2026: सीएमएस कम्युनिटी रेडियो 90.4 मेगाहर्ट्ज ‘मेरा रेडियो मेरी आवाज़’ के सौजन्य से आज सिटी मॉन्टेसरी स्कूल, गोमती नगर प्रथम शाखा में वेक्टर-बोर्न डिजीजेज के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से एक वृहद जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन प्रातःकालीन प्रार्थना सभा के दौरान किया गया, जिसमें विद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक सहभागिता की। कार्यक्रम की मुख्य वक्ता डिस्ट्रिक्ट मलेरिया ऑफिसर डॉ. ऋतु श्रीवास्तव ने विद्यार्थियों को वेक्टर-बोर्न डिजीजेज, विशेष रूप से मच्छरों से फैलने वाली बीमारियों, उनके कारणों, लक्षणों तथा बचाव के उपायों के बारे में अत्यंत सरल एवं प्रभावी ढंग से जानकारी दी। उन्होंने स्वच्छता बनाए रखने, मच्छरों के प्रजनन स्थलों को समाप्त करने तथा व्यक्तिगत स्तर पर बरती जाने वाली सावधानियों के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। डॉ. ऋतु श्रीवास्तव का विद्यार्थियों के साथ संवाद अत्यंत इंटरैक्टिव रहा। बच्चों ने उत्सुकतापूर्वक विभिन्न प्रश्न पूछे, जिनका उन्होंने सरल और उपयोगी तरीके से उत्तर दिया। इस संवादात्मक सत्र के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को वेक्टर-बोर्न बीमारियों से बचाव के प्रति जागरूक होने के साथ-साथ अपने परिवार एवं आसपास के लोगों को भी जागरूक करने की प्रेरणा मिली। कार्यक्रम के दौरान विद्यार्थियों द्वारा एक प्रभावशाली जागरूकता स्किट भी प्रस्तुत की गई। स्किट के माध्यम से मच्छरों से होने वाली बीमारियों, उनसे बचाव के उपायों तथा स्वास्थ्य विभाग और सरकारी अस्पतालों में उपलब्ध निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी दी गई। विद्यार्थियों की प्रस्तुति ने उपस्थित सभी लोगों का ध्यान आकर्षित किया और स्वास्थ्य संबंधी संदेश को मनोरंजक एवं प्रभावी तरीके से प्रस्तुत किया। स्किट की तैयारी में शिक्षा मैम का विशेष योगदान रहा और वे कार्यक्रम के दौरान उपस्थित भी रहीं।

कार्यक्रम में सीएमएस कम्युनिटी रेडियो के हेड श्री रवीन्द्र त्रिपाठी ने सीएमएस की फाउन्डर डाइरेक्टर डाॅ. भारती गांधी तथा मैनेजर प्रो.गीता गांधी को आयोजन की अनुमति के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया॥ उन्होंने स्टूडेंट्स से स्वच्छता को प्राथमिकता देनें॥ दूषित जल के जमाव और कूड़े के निस्तारण की व्यवस्था के लिए सजगता अपनाने की बात कही॥श्री रवीन्द्र त्रिपाठी ने डिस्ट्रिक्ट मलेरिया ऑफ़ीसर डाॅ. ऋतु श्रीवास्तव,सभी अतिथियों,रेडियो टीम,शिक्षकों एवं विद्यार्थियों का स्वागत किया तथा कार्यक्रम के सफल आयोजन के लिए सभी का आभार व्यक्त किया। गोमती नगर प्रथम शाखा की प्रिंसिपल सुश्री सोमा चंद्रा एवं वाइस प्रिंसिपल सुश्री प्रीति सहित विद्यालय के अन्य शिक्षकगण भी कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित रहे।

कार्यक्रम के अंत में डिस्ट्रिक्ट मलेरिया ऑफिस की ओर से विद्यार्थियों को जागरूकता संबंधी पैम्फलेट वितरित किए गए, जिनमें वेक्टर-बोर्न डिजीजेज, उनके बचाव तथा स्वास्थ्य संबंधी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियाँ दी गई थीं। विद्यार्थियों ने इन जानकारियों को ध्यानपूर्वक ग्रहण किया और स्वास्थ्य एवं स्वच्छता के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारी को समझा। सीएमएस कम्युनिटी रेडियो 90.4 मेगाहर्ट्ज ‘मेरा रेडियो मेरी आवाज़’ द्वारा आयोजित यह कार्यक्रम विद्यार्थियों को स्वास्थ्य संबंधी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्रदान करने के साथ-साथ उन्हें अपने परिवार एवं समुदाय में जागरूकता के वाहक के रूप में तैयार करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल रहा।
